When I was a child, the question adults seemed to ask the most was what I wanted to be when I grew up. As if in order to exist, I had to have a job/career/title/purpose/accomplishment. I bristled at the question then and still do.

I am a writer, editor, graphic designer, artist, photographer, poet, traveller, dancer, teacher, singer, pianist, chef, gardener, organizer, activist, volunteer, and lifelong-learner.

Some of those I simply am, without trying to be. Some of those I do to fund others. I am passionate about all of them. In the best of times, those overlap and I get to do what I love while also sustaining more than my soul.

Mostly I want to create beauty in the world around me with words and images, and I hope my creations inspire others.
